Lisa Jamu
Founder/Managing Director
Lisa has eleven years experience in international development and public health. She has worked with Population Services International and now works at AED in the field of social marketing and behavior change communications. Prior to living in Botswana, from 2001-2003 Lisa managed the nationwide insecticide treated net project against malaria in Tanzania. In Botswana she was the Deputy Country Representative and Technical Advisor for PSI/Botswana’s Youth Program, including the Soul City multi-media youth program. She graduated from Georgetown University, Washington DC with a Bachelor of Science in Languages and Linguistics. She obtained a Masters Degree in International Development and Health from American University, Washington DC.

Tinny Seitei
Operations Manager
Tinny is a a local community member who has served as a community leader in youth development in Mochudi for six years. She has been with Stepping Stones International since the beginning of the center in 2006, first as the Community Development Coordinator. She enjoys being around the students and helping them through acceptance and encouragement. Going to church is one of her priorities and she enjoys relaxing in front of the television.

Natasha Maswitiki
Peer Education Coordinator
Natasha, who has a degree in Psychology and Sociology at the Rhodes University and a Bachelor in Social Sciences, specialized in Psychology at the University of Cape Town. She has been at Stepping Stones International since September 1st as a full-time employee, running the peer education programme, the drama activites, as well as the Teen Club. Her professionnal goals are to gain as much experience and exposure to further her studies in Child Psychology. Natasha is from Francistown and enjoys cooking.

Lila Pavey
Programme Director & Management Advisor
Lila, a volunteer from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, has worked to Stepping Stones International since August 2009. For the past 3 years she has been a volunteer with WUSC in Botswana, working with the Holy Cross Hospice as a program assistant in the department of social work, as well as being an HIV specialist and technical advisor at the Ministry of Education. She graduated from the St-Francis Xavier University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. At Stepping Stones International, she is involved in the day to day management, building capacity for the staff, updating organizational systems and structure, as well as being involved in the fundraising activities.

Megan McGinn
Peace Corps Volunteer
Megan is an NGO volunteer with Peace Corps and will be serving in Botswana until 2011. With her Masters in Social Work and her background in adoption and volunteering with different cultures, she provides general support to the staff and the students of Stepping Stones International. Prior to living in Botswana, Megan and her husband lived in Vietnam and Hong Kong. She has been working with Stepping Stones International since August 2009, she enjoys spending time with the students and seeing them succeed.

Pogiso "Slim" Mokgweetsi
Programme Officer
Pogiso, from Gaborone, as joined Stepping Stones International in October 2009. He enjoys working with the students, empowering them into the future. With 5 years of experience in humanitarian work and youth development, he works well on adapting any activities to the youth at SSI. He enjoys reading in his spare time.

Ontlametse Mpaku
Programme Officer
Ontlametse attended school in Zimbabwe and has a background in public relations. He is an avid sportsman, ardent football fan, and zealous about working with youth. Ontlametse joined Stepping Stones International in April 2008 as a facilitator for the "Motlhodi" Cultural Initiation Camp. He enjoys working with young people and stayed with SSI as a volunteer Sports Coordinator.

Joseph Seitei
Driver
Joseph has been a reliable driver for the SSI youth, since December 2008. He did his studies in Kgamanyane community, as well as attended the Mochudi Brigade development trust. With 5 years of experience in driving for different companies, we can trust his driving abilities. As a Mochudi resident, he enjoys playing games and watching television.

Odirile Kagiso Ramotswetla
Mentor
Odirile was trained as a mentor at SSI. He recently graduated from Molefi Senior Secondary School. His responsibilities as a mentor for the youth is to help with the session planning and facilitating activities. As a resident of Mochudi, the students can relate to him; he his full of energy and has a great bond with the students. His future plan is to become an electrician. He enjoys socializing with his friends and family.

Keletso Monowe
Mentor
Keletso was trained as a mentor at SSI. He recently finished form 5 at Molefi Senior Secondary School . Stepping Stones International is assisting him to pursue his dream of becoming a graphic designer. With his professional goals, he is a great example to the students. He influences the students in a positive way to empower and encourage them. He has been with Stepping since 2007 and working as a mentor since 2009. He enjoys playing chess and volleyball.
